How-do-you-do thanks for the advice only I'm deplorable to say that it didn't solve my problem. I couldn't locate and delete the *.automaticDestinations-ms file considering when I entered%AppData%\Microsoft\Windows\ there was no 'Recent' binder. At that place was a 'Recent Items' icon that I clicked on only it simply took me into an empty binder.
I so went to file explorer options and clicked Clear and Restore Defaults nether Privacy but file explorer is still endmost itself when I double-click on my videos binder.

@Andre Da Costa: I only now finished installing a repair upgrade in the link provided simply my trouble still wasn't stock-still. :(
@Kapil Arya MVP: When I try to run that, the command prompt tells me that I must be an administrator to run the sfc. I don't understand why it would say that though because I only have ane profile on this computer?

What is the make and model of your computer?
Information technology could suggest you need to update your chipset drivers and BIOS.
I recommend you lot update the near critical ones: BIOS, Chipset, Display Driver, Network
uninstall your display commuter then restart
Boot to the Windows 10 desktop
Printing Windows primal + X
Click Device Managing director
Expand Brandish adapters
Right click the electric current display adapter
Click Uninstall
Get out Device Manager
Restart
Could you lot try modifying your screen resolution? Open up Start > Settings > Organization > Display.
Make sure you are using the recommended setting for Screen and Layout and Screen Resolution.

This seems like a compatibility consequence with Windows ten 1709.
I'm not surprised you lot are having trouble with Windows ten Fall Creators Update.
There seems to be some early on adopter issues at this fourth dimension with Windows 10 1709, if yous tin can, I recommend you downgrade to your previous version until the Fall Creators Update matures with hereafter cumulative updates.
Open Start > Settings > Update & security > Recovery > under Get back to my previous version of Windows 10, click Become started.
